El Palacio Real o Palacio de Oriente se erigió sobre las ruinas del antiguo Real Alcazar destruido en 1734 y se comenzó a construir en 1738 por los arquitectos, Flilipo Juvara, en 1ª instancia y Juan Bautista Sachetti con la participación de Ventura Rodriguez y Francesco Sabatini quien concluyo la construcción en tiempos de Carlos III quien fue el 1º que lo habitó. Estas son las privilegiadas vistas del Palacio desde la terraza del Teatro Real situado enfrente del mismo y al otro lado de la plaza de Oriente.
